SPLIT PEAS FLAKES
By processing Split Peas into flakes, the cooking time for this legume is greatly reduced without altering the taste and texture.
- Use: perfect for adding to rice, pastas, bulgur or soups.
- Recipe idea: Split Pea Purée: 1 part flakes, 2.5 parts salt water. Bring the water to boil and add the flakes, a sprig of thyme or savory. Cover and cook for 10 min. over low heat. Put through the vegetable mill and add Soyo (Celnat soya milk) depending on the required consistency of the purée.
