TOASTED SOY FLAKES


 These "twice cooked" Soy bean flakes, first steamed and then toasted, do not need much cooking and  are rich in protein.
Use: These flakes are ideal for preparing sweet dishes (pancakes, cakes, etc.) Pancake batter: 1 glass of soy bean flakes, 1 egg, 2 or 3 glasses of rice milk, ½ glass of flour: mix the flour with the milk and add a pinch of salt, the beaten egg and the flakes. Cook in a frying pan just like normal pancakes. Spread them with runny honey. Recipe from “Céréales et Légumineuses” by V. Cupillard.
